Original rough cut
This is our first rough cut, we got alot of feedback and knew we had to make several changes to improve!
Idea Update
Summary:
a psychotic child killer, is now older, not only that but on the loose. after escaping from the asylum he seeks revenge on the doctor who made his time hell. Most importantly, the family that once abandoned him.
The opening:
The opening starts with newspaper articles about the doctor been missing and patient escaping. This is used to create a sense of realism, this is our preferred reading anyway. We again create a sense of realism by saying this was based on true events.
it then cuts straight to the doctors house, and starts with a POV shot of the murderer, closing in on the house (we will use a fig rig for this)
It then goes into the doctors house, a false scare happens. This is stereotypical of horrors and happens in nearly every horror film you will see.
After the false scare happens it will continue with the Dr getting stalked leading to the murder. when the murder is happening it will keep on fl

The Big 6
The big 6 are the 6 most dominant films companies in america. They consist of: NBC universal, Sony's columbia pictures, Warner Bros, Walt Disney, 20th century fox and paramount pictures.

Information from Wikipedia
Sony is a conglomerate because it is a big company that owns columbia pictures. columbia is a subsidiary becasue it is a smaller company owned by the big company that is sony.
Horizontal integration is where one conglomerate can mutually benefit each subsidiary along the same stage of production
vertical intergration is where the conlomerate is controlling production distribution ansd exhabition

Assessing past coursework
Tiny terror
- Has good intertectuality with scream as the title is very similair, sharp serif font.
- The sound is like a kids toy, which is very effective, high and fast notes.
- Long drawn out notes.
- signifies or conotes of someone hiding by using a POV shot.
- introduce a false scare nice and early
- uses intertextuality by saying 'damien you little devil' which is influenced by the omen
- elipsis signified by a fade out then a fade in.
- girly room signified by pink walls and posters etc.
- dutch angle to signify somethings not quite right.
- Dialogue is used for exposition.
- cut away shot used to signify sexual activity, throwing a bra over the top of the toy box.
- He has some alchohol in his hand which signifies the character is going to die
- Shaky POV shot to signify he is drunk.
- camera in bushes to signify someone is watching.
- elipsis is porr because it does not show the killing, and just jumps to someone been dragged, also no diegetic sound.
- good blood effect on the show to signify he's been hurt.
- good narrative enigma, cannot see the character at all
- cctv effect to show the character high angled shot to signify it is cctv and the editing on the camera.
- not quick enough shot pace, too slow, not as much of a sense of panic as there should have been.
Red run
- missing diegetic sound, just slow drawn out music.
- Lack of Verisimilitude, e.g kettles been turned on yet we do not hear it.
